CLAREMONT, Calif. - If all went according to plan, the CMS Women's Water Polo program would be having one of its best seasons this spring, led by the Class of 2021. The Athenas had only two seniors in the Class of 2020, and would have fielded a veteran squad this season capable of challenge for a SCIAC title.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's water polo team had 16 of its student-athletes earn a spot on one of the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-Academic teams, the organization announced today.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior Aracelia Aldrete earned first-team All-America honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches, while Amelia Ayala and Anna Fry earned honorable mention distinction, the organization announced today.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior Aracelia Aldrete has been a mainstay in the lineup for the CMS women's water polo program over the last four years. She scored 25 goals or more in each of her first three seasons, reaching the 100-goal mark last year against La Verne, and has twice been an honorable mention All-America selection from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The two members of the CMS women's water polo senior class had a substantial impact on the program over the last four years. Included in their tenure was an 18-10 season as sophomores, which is the winningest season for the Athenas since 2004, while this year, the duo was serving as team leaders of a young CMS squad that features 11 sophomores and four first-years.
