CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Men's Tennis team earned Academic Team honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, while seven Stags earned individual ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction, the organization announced this week.
CLAREMONT, Calif. - The CMS Men's Tennis team had been oh-so-close to winning the program’s first national championship since 1981 in both 2013 and 2014, finishing as runner-up to Williams and Amherst respectively. The senior class in 2015, led by Warren Wood, was simply not going to be denied again.
CLAREMONT, Calif. - The 2006 CMS Men's Tennis team went undefeated through the SCIAC schedule to return to its place atop the league standings after a 7-3 season in 2005. The Stags then went on to knock off the defending national champions from UC Santa Cruz, to get back to nationals for the first time since 1994.
CLAREMONT, Calif. - As the postseason began for the 1993 Men’s Tennis program, the Stags already had multiple NCAA Champions in singles and doubles, but nobody had ever done both. That changed when Ryan McKee won the singles championship in 1993, and then added the doubles title with Tim Cooley.
