CMS Women's Track and Field sends Seven to NCAA Division III Championships

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's track and field team had seven student-athletes earn qualifications to the NCAA Division III Championships in eight different events, the NCAA announced this evening.
Zimmer Moves Into NCAA Qualifying Position in 1500 Meters by Two-Hundredths of a Second

REDLANDS, Calif. - Laura Zimmer ran a personal-best 4:34.53 in the 1500 meters at the Redlands Final Qualifier, moving her into position to qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships by two-hundredths of a second with just one more day left in the qualification period.

WHITTIER, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's track and field team trailed Redlands heading into the final two events, but had five of the top six finishers in the 5000 meters and added a runner-up finish in the 4x400 relay to pull ahead and capture its sixth straight league title on Sunday at Whittier College.

WALNUT, Calif. – Meredith Bloss set a new CMS record in the 10000 meters at the Mt. Sac Relays on Friday evening, finishing in a time of 34:35.52 to finish 16th in a field of 39 runners, almost all of which come from Division I schools.
