CLAREMONT, Calif. - CMS Women's Basketball had historically always been a SCIAC contender, with six championships and 13 runner-up finishes heading into the decade of the 2010s, but the 2013-14 Athenas were able to celebrate the final year of Ducey Gym with a 15-game improvement and their first league title in 10 years.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The CMS women’s basketball team had a 20-win regular season in 1994-95, but came up one game behind Cal Lutheran in the SCIAC. The Athenas handed the Regals their only conference loss, 82-69 in the final week of the regular season for a season split, which was enough to earn a rubber match in the NCAA Opening Round, which the Athenas captured 63-54.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The CMS Women's Basketball team capped off an undefeated SCIAC season in 1988 with a 60-58 win over Pomona-Pitzer in the closing seconds, earning the tiebreaking basket in unusual fashion when the Sagehens were late coming back onto the floor after a timeout and the Athenas scored the winner against no defense.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The final day of the regular season for the CMS women’s basketball team came against Whittier, which worked out to be a de facto conference championship game. Both teams came into the game at 9-2 in conference, with the winner guaranteed to take home the SCIAC title and earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament, and the Athenas were able to prevail in overtime to cut down the Ducey Gymnasium nets.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The CMS Women's Basketball Class of 2021 competed for three years and produced a remarkable 41-7 SCIAC record during that time, good for an .854 conference winning percentage, as well as a 66-15 overall mark.

REDLANDS, Calif. - Senior forward Lindsey Cleary had 21 points, 17 rebounds and tied the score with 10 seconds left in regulation, but the top-seeded Redlands women's basketball team was able to regroup in overtime and earn a 62-55 win in the 2020 SCIAC Championship game on Saturday evening at Currier Gymnasium.
