On Court: 2-star recruit on TR.net who ranked in the top 30 in NorCal Boys 16s and top 25 in Boys 18s...played #1 singles all four years at Branson School…won North Coast Section team title senior year…finalist sophomore and junior year...awarded Marin Independent Journal Player of the Year honors his junior year with an undefeated record...as a freshman reached the singles semifinals of the Ojai Indpendent College event, losing in three sets to eventual champion and second seed Josh Barnard of Westmont...also participated on CMS club team that competed at the SoCal Tennis on Campus Championships in February...as a sophomore earned a roster spot in the fall through his hard work and active tournament play...won one of three singles matches and one of three doubles matches (with Macey) at ITA West Regionals...played in seven dual matches in the spring, earning a perfect 7-0 singles record at positions 3, 4 and 5...played in one doubles dual match with Hull at the #2 spot...completed the 2015 campaign with overall records of 9-3 in singles and 4-4 in doubles (with Hull and Macey), with wins at The Ojai and Pacific Coast Doubles tournaments...also won Summer ITA Circuit singles event at Sonoma State without dropping a set...as a junior had his best ITA West Regionals to date by winning four of five singles matches, then three of four with partner Julian Gordy in the doubles...won 2nd round losers consolation event at Regionals...also played five other events in the fall winning six of ten singles matches...played in nine singles dual matches in the spring, losing only once against Amherst...played at the number three through six singles positions and didn't lose a set in each of his seven wins...also played in the Ojai D3 event, beating Mandic of Pomona-Pitzer in the first round before falling to Whittier's Andrew You in the second round...played in seven doubles matches in the spring with five different partners, including play at Pac Coast Doubles and the Ojai...completed 2016 with overall records of 12-3 in singles and 8-3 in doubles...as a senior started fall campaign with great momentum, having won 8 of 10 tournament singles matches over the summer including a title at the Bay Club San Francisco Tennis Men's Open...also won UC Santa Cruz Men's Open Doubles with University of Washington freshman Amit Batta...entered ITA West Regional as the #9 seed and had his best finish ever, reaching the semis before falling to teammate and eventual champ Daniel Morkovine...key wins en route to the semis over 7th seed Joey Dulle of Redlands in the R16 and Jake Yasgoor of Pomona-Pitzer in the quarters...earned ITA Fall Rankings of #7 in the West and #31 Nationally...partnered senior Max Macey in the doubles and won one of three matches...returned to have the best spring season of his CMS career, winning 13 of 15 singles dual matches en route to an overall record of 17-3...did not lose a singles set between April 8 and May 22, going unbeaten in eight matches during that stretch...saved his best play for last, earning key straight set victories in the NCAA team semifinals and final against Middlebury and Emory at the No. 6 position...posted a 7-5 doubles record overall with six different partners...had career marks of 38-9 in singles and 19-12 in doubles...one of six Stags to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher over the course of the school year...tried out and was named to Team USA for the 20th World Maccabiah Games in Israel in July.
