Athletics Annual Fund

Annual gifts to CMS Athletics support every player, every coach, and every sport. This fund helps cover expenses on and off the field and maintain CMS' long tradition of excellence in intercollegiate athletics. All athletic donations contribute in two important ways: as additive funding to benefit our current students and teams; and in participation that speaks to “alumni satisfaction,” a key component in college rankings and institutional development.

For donations to CMS Athletics, please click on one of the three college links directly below. To make a gift to CMS Athletics through CMC, choose "Athletics Annual Fund" from the "Designation" drop-down menu. For Harvey Mudd and Scripps, direct your gift to Athletics in the "Other Designations" category.

Friends Groups (Support a Team)

A gift directly to an individual team provides that team and its coaches additional resources to play a nationally competitive schedule, purchase state of the art equipment and recruit the most talented student-athletes. By directly supporting one or more of CMS' 21 varsity teams, you are not only making a difference for that program, but you have directly impacted the overall success of CMS Athletics.

Capital Projects

Top-notch facilities and training equipment are necessary to fulfill our commitment to current student-athletes to provide them with the best possible tools towards their pursuit of their athletic and academic goals, and important for recruiting the finest possible student-athletes to CMS. Capital gifts address the facility needs of the entire athletics program and allow CMS to maintain a competitive advantage.

Head Coaching Position Endowments

An endowment of a head coaching position provides a lasting stream of income for the program and CMS Athletics.

Student-Athlete Recruitment

If you know of a prospective student-athlete that could be the next standout Athena or Stag, let our coaches know.

Host/Plan an Event

As CMS teams travel around the country, we would like to organize events for alumni, families, and prospective student-athletes. We are looking for alumni to help maximize these event possibilities.

Help current student-athletes explore and prepare for their post-graduate lives.

For information on any of these initiatives, please contact Mike Sutton '76 (, director of advancement for athletics.
