All-Americans Loncki and Abraham NCAA Woman of the Year Award Nominees

Two-sport star Margaret Loncki (CMC '18) and sprinter Tyra Abraham (SC '18) from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps have been nominated for the 2018 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
CMS has another record year in the Directors’ Cup standings

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athletics is ranked third in the 2017-18 Division III Learfield Directors’ Cup standings, the program’s highest finish ever. This is the second-straight year that CMS has finished in the top-5 in the country.
CMS Claims 10th-Straight SCIAC All-Sports Trophy

For the 10th-straight year and 30th time in program history, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athletic Department claimed the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Combined All-Sports Trophy. The Athenas earned 94 points this season and won the All-Sports Trophy on the women’s side by a 19-point margin, claiming their eighth-straight and 23rd overall. The Stags finished third in the standings on the men’s side with 65.5 points. Pomona-Pitzer won the men’s All-Sports Trophy.

Coniff Earns Award of Distinction, Joins Holman on First Team

On Wednesday morning the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) released their All-Conference women’s soccer teams. Among the student-athletes honored were a pair of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas. Jacey Coniff (HMC) and Rhiann Holman (CMC) were named First Team All-SCIAC with Coniff also being named the SCIAC Award of Distinction winner for 2017.
Early Redlands Score Holds, Athenas Wrap 2017 Season

With the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s soccer team needing a victory to extend their season to the SCIAC Playoffs, the Athenas fell in heartbreaking fashion 1-0 to the Redlands Bulldogs. A goal early in the first-half off the foot of Madison Mills was the difference in the contest.
Early Goal Holds Up, Athenas Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's soccer team kept their SCIAC playoff hopes alive with a 1-0 victory over the Whittier Poets on Wednesday night. Sarah Malott (CMC) connected in the ninth minute off a pass from Rhiann Holman (CMC) for her fifth goal of the season and the lone tally of the evening.
Too Clouse For Comfort, Athenas Run Away Late

Playing the second game in a back-to-back, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s soccer team defeated the Caltech Beavers 5-2. Gabrielle Clouse (CMC) connected for a pair of goals to lead four different scorers on the afternoon. The two goals for Clouse were her first two scores this season.
Tilt with Tigers Ends in Fifth Draw of Season for Athenas

Rhiann Holman (CMC) opened the scoring on Saturday night with a tally in the 11th minute off a pass from Sarah Tocher (CMC) against the Occidental Tigers. That 1-0 lead would stand until the Tigers leveled the score in the 34th minute. The remainder of regulation as well as two overtime periods would not produce another goal and the Athenas and Tigers finished the SCIAC tilt in a 1-1 draw.
Chapman Clips Athenas in Overtime

On Wednesday evening, the Chapman Panthers broke a scoreless game in the 96th minute with a golden goal off the foot of Shelby Brown to defeat the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas 1-0. The Panthers and Athenas split their two matches this season by identical 1-0 scores. The Athenas took down Chapman at home on Sept. 23.
Athenas and Regals Draw for Second Time

For the second time this season, 90 minutes was not enough to decide a winner between the Regals and the Athenas on the pitch. Saturday night's tilt at Cal Lutheran was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and after two scoreless overtime periods, CMS and the Regals played to their second draw of the season.
Stags and Athenas Soccer Receive Team Academic Award

United Soccer Coaches recognized both the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s and women’s soccer teams for their classroom achievements during the 2016-17 academic year with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.
Sixth Street Rivalry Ends in Scoreless Draw

Wednesday night featured the second installment of the women’s soccer Sixth Street rivalry game. The Sagehens from Pomona-Pitzer took the short walk across the street to square off with the Athenas in a match that would end in a 0-0 draw after 110 minutes.
Athenas and Leopards Battle to Stalemate on Pritzlaff Field

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and La Verne women’s soccer teams battled to a 0-0 draw after 110 minutes on Saturday night. The Athenas and Leopards each had chances late in the contest with the Leopards actually finding the back of the net at the end of regulation. The goal however, would not count as it crossed the goal-line after the horn sounded for the end of regulation.
Osler's 20-Yarder Sends Athenas Past Bulldogs

It took the Athenas a rocket from 20 yards out by Wren Osler (CMC) to edge out the University of Redlands with a 2-1 victory on Wednesday night. In an evenly contested match, the two teams held each other scoreless for majority of the game, but the game took an explosive turn starting in the 70th minute as the two teams combined for three goals in an eight minute span.
