Entering his senior season as a member of the track and field team, where he competes in the throws (hammer, shot put and discus).
2021-22 (Junior)
SCIAC Champion (hammer throw) ... All-SCIAC (shot put) ... Captured the SCIAC championship in the hammer throw with a top distance of 160'9" (49.01 meters) ... Added a second-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 48'3.5" (14.72 meters), finishing behind only teammate Sarath Kakani ... Took first in the shot put and the hammer at the third SCIAC Multi-Dual on April 16 ... Had four second place and two third-place finishes in SCIAC Multis as well.
2019-20 (Sophomore)
Returned to the track and field team after a two-year absence ... Competed in four meets before the suspension of spring sports ... Came in second in the shot put, third in the hammer and sixth in the discus at a five-team SCIAC Multi-Dual hosted by Whittier ... Began the year with a second place finish in the shot put at the CMS Outdoor Indoor Distance Challenge Meet with a throw of 43'3" ... Was 11th in the shot put at the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers Meet and 16th at the CMS Rossi Relays.
2017-18 (First-Year)
All-SCIAC (hammer) ... Finished third in the hammer throw (152'9") at the SCIAC Championships to earn all league honors ... Also was fourth in the shot put at SCIACs with PR of 46'1.5" and 18th in the discus ... Won the shot put at the final SCIAC Multi-Dual with a throw of 46'0.5" and added a second-place finish (143'3" in the hammer) ... Was second in the shot put (44'3.5") at the first SCIAC Multi-Dual.
Personal
Son of Allan and Joyce Saena … Biggest sports moment was his HS team beating a team they were predicted to lose in a televised game and having the DL highlighted by the local paper … Favorite hobbies are singing and playing the ukulele … Career ambition is to be an engineer ... Also plays on the CMS football team as a defensive lineman, earned second-team all-SCIAC honors in 2021.
