CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team earned a Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association for the 2019-20 academic year, the organization announced today.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior shortstop Zach Clarke earned a spot on the 2020 College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 8 team for Division III baseball in a vote of the district's sports information directors.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - The 10 members of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball senior class were striving to end their careers by getting back to the postseason after a near miss a year ago. After taking two of three from Redlands in their last SCIAC series, that opportunity was denied by the sudden suspension of spring sports. However, the Class of 2020 brought the baseball program forward in each of their four seasons, and in lieu of the traditional home Senior Day at the final home game, we produced a video tribute instead.

PASADENA, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Caltech baseball teams had one final scheduled game before the suspension of spring sports, including a chance for both teams to honor their senior classes, and the Stags were able to come away with an 11-8 win on Saturday to end the 2020 season on a winning note.

CLAREMONT, Calif. - After trailing 5-4 following a high-scoring first three innings, the CMS pitching staff regrouped to retire 19 of the last 21 batters to come to the plate, as the Stags came up with a 10-5 non-conference win over Whitman on Sunday afternoon at Arce Field.

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team got out of a two-out tenth inning jam as a suspended game was resumed at Redlands, but ended up falling on an unearned run in the 11th, before dropping a regularly-scheduled non-league game 14-1 right after.

CLAREMONT, Calif -- The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team bounced back from a tough series opener on Friday at Redlands to sweep a doubleheader against the Bulldogs behind solid pitching outings from Diego Avila and Brandon Mitchell alongside five RBI from Patrick Gavin, the Stags earned 4-2 and 9-3 wins on Saturday at Arce Field.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team dropped the first game of today's doubleheader 8-7 at Cal Lutheran and then played to a 10-10 tie in the nightcap at Ullman Stadium in Thousand Oaks.

CLAREMONT, Calif. -- The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps baseball team fought back after being down 3-1 following the first inning to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth but could not complete the comeback as Cal Lutheran scored two runs in the top of the ninth send the Stags to an 0-1 start in SCIAC play with a 5-3 loss to the Kingsmen on Friday at Arce Field.
