Student Aides

Bio

Our athletic training student aides are the backbone of the athletic training staff. Unfortunately, there is no formal athletic training program within our colleges, so our aides are taught by our staff and our graduate athletic training students. Our workers are proficient in taping, administering various modalities, and performing basic rehabilitation techniques. Although always under supervision of a certified athletic trainer, our aides are entrusted with levels of autonomy and responsibility in taking care of our student-athlete population.

Most of our aides are student-athletes themselves, or past athletes. They understand the requirements and demands for our current student-athletes. Our student workers come from various social and cultural backgrounds yet, we all work together fluidly as a team. With the extensive academic coursework of their respective colleges and the collegiate sport demands, the dedication of our student workers to the training room and student-athletes is amazing.

Our student workers are employed either through work-study programs or hired through Claremont McKenna College. Our staff, student trainer workers included, create a fun and efficient environment for our student-athletes. If you are a student at either Claremont McKenna College, Harvery Mudd College, or Scripps College, and have an interest in working with the sports medicine team, please email sportsmedicine@claremontmckenna.edu.
