Bio

Steve Graves joined the CMS family in 1992, and since that time has shown a commitment to the overall health and well being of the student athletes at CMS, as well as a dedication towards the teams and the department as a whole. For his efforts, Graves was chosen in 2018 as an honorary member of the Claremont McKenna College Alumni Association.

A southern California native, Graves spent six years in Hawaii, graduating from Kaiser High School. In 1987, he received his  bachelor's of arts degree in Athletic Training from Long Beach State, and immediately went to work with elite level gymnasts at SCATS Gymnastics in Huntington Beach. In addition, he worked at Marina High School for four years.

"I have the greatest job in the world," Graves said. "I get to work with hard-working dedicated athletes, coaches and staff, but all the while, it's all centered around games. The kids at CMS keep me young and energized. What can I say, it has to be fun when you work the hours I do".

Graves lives in Claremont with his wife Dianna and their two children Matty and Erin.
