Bio

Sup guys it's Josh here. I'm a rising junior up at Mudd studying engineering. After a season finding success running a race just shorter than a mile, I am now trying to survive five miles of grass, mud, and other suboptimal running surfaces. You can probably tell I'm pretty excited. Now that I've got my whining out of the way, I am actually looking forward to a healthy xc season where I can maybe finally figure out this whole 8K thing. Besides sitting around reading electric vehicle forums, playing Super Monkey Ball 2, and procrastinating my run each day, I enjoy spending my free (and not so free) time in the machine shop as well as outdoors. In the machine shop, I enjoy building personal transportation devices such as scooters, longboards, and bikes and fitting inappropriately powerful electric motors to them. Outdoors, I enjoy hiking, bodyboarding (yes, even in Oregon), biking, and skiing. This summer I climbed five 14ers in Colorado, Middle Teton in Grand Teton National Park, and conquered the famed Magnolia Road outside Boulder along with teammates Kyle Lund and Rachel Mow. You can also find me in the dining hall where I spend a bit more time than most consuming large piles of carrot sticks, celery sticks, and churros. My favorite run during cross country is Glendora Ridge. My favorite book is Dune, my favorite movie is Top Gun, and my favorite TV show is Arrow. My spirit animal is the penguin, my favorite animal is the pronghorn, and my favored method of transportation is the longboard. Let's go Stags!
