The United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) in its annual meetings named Claremont-Mudd-Scripps head cross country coach John Goldhammer as the West Regional Men’s Coach of the Year. The award is Goldhammers’ second-straight and his 26th overall counting both his cross country and track and field awards.
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s water polo team made its first-ever appearance in the National Collegiate Men’s Water Polo Championship in 2015 and placed fifth.
Behind the strength of outstanding seasons from its cross country and volleyball teams, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athletics is ranked sixth nationally out of 400-plus NCAA Division III athletic departments in the first of three fall releases of the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings.
