
18 Athenas Honored for Academic Performance by ACWPC
CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches released its annual All-Academic Awards for women's water polo this week, and 18 members of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps squad were among those honored.
Eight Athenas earned the highest ranking with an Outstanding All-Academic designation, six were bestowed with Superior All-Academic status, while four captured Excellent All-Academic honors.
Earning Outstanding designation for having a GPA of 3.7 or higher were seniors Jessi Beyer and Isabel Dhillon, junior Cooper McKenna, sophomore Dara Schoolcraft, and first-years Kaitlyn Kong, Fiona Murphy, Mason Spencer and Natalie Stearns.
In the Superior category, the Athenas honored included senior Christina Kulick, junior Mia Adsen, sophomore Maribella Munoz-Jimenez, and first-years Grace Clark, Caitlin Muñoz and Angelina Tsai.
Capturing Excellent All-Academic distinction were junior Olivia Cairns, sophomores Ka'imi Duncklee and Elise Power and first-year Isabel Del Villar.
McKenna, who carries a 4.0 GPA at Claremont McKenna, adds her honor to a second-team Academic All-America award from the College Sports Communicators earlier this summer.
