LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – Juniors Roxy Kiessling (CMC) and Jessica Gaffney (CMC) were named to the All-SCIAC Teams on Wednesday, May 3 after a vote from the conference's nine head coaches.
Kiessling was listed on the All-SCIAC First Team after finishing the season as one of the best two-way players on her team and in the conference. The junior led the Athenas with 54 goals overall, making her the fourth-highest leading scorer in the SCIAC. Out of her 54 goals, she scored 18 in conference play, the highest in the SCIAC. She also led the team with 33 steals.
Gaffney was honored with an All-SCIAC Second Team nod after an outstanding offensive year in which she scored 52 overall goals and notched 26 assists. The attacker has been a high-volume scorer for the Athenas, netting a season-high six goals against Concordia University and four goals against Redlands earlier this season.
Junior Helen Thomason (SC) was named to the SCIAC Sportsmanship Team, serving as a consummate team who gave her best in the pool as she did in the classroom.
