Kiessling and Gaffney earn All-America Honors
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the selection of the organization's 2016 Women's Division III All-America Team on June 1 naming sophomore Roxy Kiessling (CMC) to the first team and sophomore Jessica Gaffney (CMC) as an Honorable Mention. The All-America Teams are comprised of 30 student-athletes featuring players from 13 institutions. The SCIAC made up 21 of those selections from eight of the nine programs.
Kiessling earns her first All-America nod after leading Claremont-Mudd-Scripps to a 9-18 overall record, 6-5 in conference. She led CMS and the SCIAC with 38 goals during conference play.
Gaffney is one of nine athletes who are earning their second (or more) All-America awards. In the 2015 season, she was on the Second Team.
