Two-match swing in Santa Barbara kicks off season for Athenas
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – After a long offseason, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's water polo team got their 2014 season underway over the weekend with a pair of games in Santa Barbara on Sunday. CMS opened its season against a pair of NCAA Division I opponents as they dropped the opener 13-3 to Long Beach State and lost 12-7 to UC Santa Barbara. Next up for CMS are matches against Cal State Bakersfield and Cal Baptist on Feb. 1. CMS' first home match of the season is on Thursday, Feb. 20.
