Athena Volleyball Honors
The 2009 season has drawn to a close and the future is bright for CMS Volleyball. Congratulations to Allie Macy (OH; Walnut, CA) and Taylor Jones (S; Scottsdale, AZ) for being recognized as All-SCIAC 2nd team selections. Allie Macy was also honored as the team's MVP and Taylor Jones was the Freshman of the Year. Abby Trimble and Angela Estrella-Lemus were deservedly honored as the Most-Inspirational members of the CMS squad.
Look for exciting CMS volleyball action as the 2010 season unfolds. Once again the Athenas will host the Pacific Coast Classic where top Division III teams from the nation will compete. CMS is looking forward to traveling to San Antonio, TX to take part in the Trinity University Invitational Tournament in late October. There also will be tough non-conference matches against some of the top teams from both within and outside the western region. And then, of course, there is the highly competitive SCIAC schedule waiting for CMS over the final eight weeks of the season.
