Personal
Attends Claremont McKenna, where she majors in organismal biology ... Chose CMS because "when I began visiting schools, I started to think I might never find a school that had everything I was looking for and ultimately, I would have to figure out what I was willing to give up. However, after visiting CMC, meeting with Coach Charlie, CMC faculty, alumni, and students, I felt an emotional connection and optimism that I had not felt at any of the other schools. I sensed a strong commitment to academics and athletics, but no one seemed to be in it just for themselves (competitive yet supportive community). As for CMS, Charlie’s philosophy of working hard and being successful as a team was exactly what I was looking for and it was so consistent with the videos I had watched of current team members. I’ve been so fortunate to be on a club team with teammates I consider to be my family and I knew I had made the right decision about CMC/CMS when I heard current team members refer to the team as a family as well. Before leaving California, I watched a practice from the stands. As I saw what seemed to be a group of talented athletes working hard, yet still having fun in the pool, I vividly remember looking to my mom and we both couldn’t believe I found a school that had it all."
