Bio

Julia Gomez enters her first season as an assistant coach of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's soccer program in 2024. 

Gomez, who is familiar with the SCIAC from her playing days at La Verne, has spent the last two years as a coach of the Ayala High School girls' soccer team. She has also coached the G16 Gold team and been an assistant with the G17 team, while also serving as a Little Legends Director. 

Gomez started every game as a defender for La Verne as a senior in 2022, after previously playing for Chaffey College, where she earned Scholar-Athlete distinction. She played scholastically at Diamond Ranch High School in Pomona, where she was a team captain and all-league selection. 

Gomez graduated from La Verne in 2023 with a degree in kinesiology.
