Bella Lynch Earns SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week for CMS Women's Lacrosse

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Bella Lynch of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's lacrosse team earned the SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week for games through Sunday, April 30, the conference office announced today.

Lynch had three goals and three assists in both games as CMS ended the regular season with a pair of wins and secured the No. 2 seed in the SCIAC Tournament. She had a key role in a hard-fought 19-13 win over Chapman with her six points, and then scored on all three of her shots in a 24-4 win over Redlands.

It marks the second time this season that Lynch has earned the SCIAC honor, after also taking it after opening week following wins over Whittier and Occidental. Coincidentally, she also had three goals and three assists in both of those games as well.

CMS will open postseason play at home on Wednesday night, when it hosts Chapman in one of two SCIAC Semifinals at 7 p.m. With a win, the Athenas will advance through to the SCIAC Championship in Claremont, which will be held at either top-seeded Pomona-Pitzer, or at home, if Occidental upsets the Sagehens in the other semifinal.
