Five CMS Women's Golfers Capture WGCA All-American Scholar Distinction
CLAREMONT, Calif. - Five members of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's golf team were chosen to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar team at the conclusion of the 2021-22 year.
WGCA All-America Scholar honors are given to student-athletes who carry a 3.50 GPA and compete in a minimum number of rounds over the course of the year.
All five of the Athenas who competed at the NCAA Division III Championships passed the 3.50 threshold and earned All-America Scholar honors: Irene Jun, Jeissy Lee, Grace Lu, Stella Cheng and Tiffany Hu.
CMS finished in ninth place at the NCAA Division III Championships, earning its fourth straight top-10 finish, despite all five Athenas competing in the postseason for the first time in their careers.
