Grace Lu Takes SCIAC Golfer of the Week Accolades For Second Time

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Grace Lu earned the SCIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week honor for events through Sunday, April 10, the conference office announced this afternoon.

Lu was the individual medalist at SCIAC No. 2, taking first place by two strokes. Her 73 on Saturday was the low round of the weekend on either day, and she held off the challengers on the second day to win with a 150, two shots ahead of second place and five ahead of third place.

It marks the second time this season that Lu has earned the SCIAC Athlete of the Week honor. Stella Cheng has also earned it for the Athenas this season as well, giving CMS three of the 10 honors that have been given out during the spring. 

The Athenas will be back in action in two weeks for the SCIAC Championships, which will be held at Tukwet Canyon.
