Cheng's 68 Leads CMS Women's Golf to Dual Win over Chapman

UPLAND, Calif. - Stella Cheng shot a two-under 68 to lead the CMS women's golf team to a 298-325 win over Chapman in a dual match on Saturday at the Upland Hills Country Club.

Grace Lu, who was competing as an individual for CMS, had the second-highest score of the day with a 74, while Lauren Fue and Huiying Li of CMS and Kristen Lee of Chapman all shot a 76 to tie for third. 

Jeissy Lee, also competing as an individual, shot a 77, while Irene Jun was the final Athena to factor into the CMS team score with a 78. Kaityln Vetica and Emily Cho had 80s for Chapman. 

Cheng closed out her round with a flourish, earning birdies on the final three holes to come in at -2. 

CMS will be back in action tomorrow when it closes out its fall schedule with a dual match against La Verne at 12 noon at Via Verde Golf Club.
