CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior women's basketball player Maya Love earned the William H. Alamshah Award for Student Leadership from Claremont McKenna College as part of its Class of 2020 Senior Awards, the college announced today.

REDLANDS, Calif. - Senior forward Lindsey Cleary had 21 points, 17 rebounds and tied the score with 10 seconds left in regulation, but the top-seeded Redlands women's basketball team was able to regroup in overtime and earn a 62-55 win in the 2020 SCIAC Championship game on Saturday evening at Currier Gymnasium.

WHITTIER, Calif. - Junior point guard Maezelle Millan had 18 points and six assists as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's basketball team used a 10-0 run to build a 10-point fourth quarter lead and held on down the stretch to take a 71-66 road win over Whittier in the SCIAC Semifinals on Thursday evening at the Graham Athletic Center.

Over the last four years, Gloria Bates has learned a lot about chemistry, both as part of a close-knit CMS women’s basketball program that has used its on-court chemistry to compile an 80-22 record, and as a biochemistry major at Claremont McKenna. The Athena team chemistry will be on display at Roberts Pavilion this week, facing Pomona-Pitzer on Wednesday (8:30 p.m.) and Caltech on Saturday (7 p.m.), which will be preceded by Senior Day ceremonies.
