Gaylord Earns Top-10 Finish at NCAA Regional Qualifiers

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Cyrus Gaylord came in ninth place in the one-meter with 419.40 points at the NCAA Division III Region 2 Diving Qualifiers on Saturday at Trinity University.

Gaylord finished with 419.40 points to earn ninth out of 27 competitors, and was one of only 11 to break 400 points. Jack Griffith ended in 13th place for the Stags with 390.65 points. 

Gaylord was also the highest-scoring Stag in the three-meter on Friday, coming in 11th place with 424.75 points. Ethan Sattley was second on CMS with 383.90 points. 

CMS will be back in action from March 20-23 when it sends nine representatives to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.
