Jack Griffith Wins Second SCIAC Diver of the Week Honor

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Jack Griffith earned the SCIAC Diver of the Week Award for the second time this season, the league office announced today.

Griffith swept both the one-meter and the three-meter events this weekend at a SCIAC tri-meet with Cal Lutheran and La Verne, helping CMS to a pair of wins. He breaking 300 points in the one-meter (312.30) and added a win in three-meter with 276.15 as the Stags finished the SCIAC regular season undefeated with their two victories at 7-0.

CMS has now had three Diver of the Week honors this season, after Cyrus Gaylord took the honor when CMS last competed two weeks ago. The Stags have also had three Swimmer of the Week honors, with Marco Conati winning twice and Anderson Breazeale winning once. 

CMS will compete this weekend at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational before beginning the SCIAC Championships. The diving portion will take place on Feb. 12-13 at Cal Lutheran, which will be followed by the swimming championships from Feb. 16-19 in La Mirada.
