CMS Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at Leopard Spring Invitational
CORONA, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's golf team ended up in fourth place at the Leopard Spring Invitational, hosted by La Verne, in its first action of the 2024 spring season on Monday and Tuesday at the Dos Lagos Golf Course.
CMS shot a 589 over the two-day tournament (294-295) to finish behind host La Verne, Cal Lutheran and George Fox.
Adrian Chiu finished in third place on the individual leaderboard, ending with a 141 (+1). He shot a 72 for Monday's first round, and then shot a 69 on Tuesday, the only round in the red for the Stags over the two-day event.
Kevin Jiang had the top round for the Stags on Monday's first round, shooting an even-par 70.
CMS will be back in action in 11 days for SCIAC Tournament No. 1, which will be held in Costa Mesa and will be the first two of the seven rounds that will determine the SCIAC title, as the Stags look to defend their crown from a year ago.
