Chatterjee Repeats as SCIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Vikram Chatterjee captured the SCIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for events through Sunday, Feb. 27, the conference office announced today.

Chatterjee shot in the red all three rounds to help CMS to a second-place finish at the Las Vegas Shootout. Chatterjee finished at -5, placing him in a tie for sixth out of 87 golfers in the field, closing with a 70 in the final round on Tuesday to help the Stags hold off a challenge from Southeastern for second by four strokes. He had three eagles at the tournament, including two on his second round, and one on the 16th on his final round, to go along with 12 birdies.

It marks the second tournament in a row in which Chatterjee has earned SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors. He captured it the first time after earning individual medalist honors at SCIAC No. 1 on Feb. 13. 

CMS will be back in action next month for the Jekyll Island Invitational in Georgia, from March 17-19.
