Vijay Jain, Will Parker Earn Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Distinction

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Vijay Jain and Will Parker of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's golf team earned 2021-22 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar honors, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced this week.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically, participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.

Jain and Parker were both part of the five-player CMS contingent that competed in the postseason in 2022, earning the SCIAC title by over 30 strokes, and finishing tied for third at the NCAA Division III Championships. The third-place finish was the second-highest national finish in program history, behind only the national title captured by the 2016 team.

Parker was an honorable mention All-America selection from the GCAA, while finishing in the top 10 (ninth) at the NCAA Division III Championships. Jain joined Parker as first-team All-SCIAC selections.
