CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior guard Josh Angle was one of 18 student-athletes selected for the 2022-23 SCIAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award, the conference office announced this week.

The Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor is presented to a recipient from one men's sport and one women's sport from each of the nine SCIAC institutions, based on their combination of academic excellence and athletic accomplishment.

Angle was named the Division III Men's Basketball Academic All-America Team Member of the Year, after earning both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the Robert Day School of Economics at Claremont McKenna with a 3.93 grade point average.

On the court, Angle averaged 21.5 points per game for the Stags and was a third-team All-America selection from D3hoops.com. He ranked 19th in the country in scoring and eighth in three-point percentage (45.0).
