The CMS-ence of Ryan Kusch

Senior forward Ryan Kusch (Harvey Mudd '19) has been a part of two SCIAC men's basketball championships and two NCAA Division III Tournaments in the last two years, while also using his Harvey Mudd education in computer science to earn internships with Google the past two summers.

In addition to his work at Google, which primary centered on programming for Google Cloud, Kusch has been working on his senior Capstone Project at Harvey Mudd with Intuit. He is a SCIAC All-Academic team selection, while finishing all of his coursework for his degree at Harvey Mudd ahead of schedule.

"Being a Stag has been an amazing experience," Kusch said. "I've been able to form a lot of strong bonds with teammates and friends. I think the biggest thing about being a Stag is all the connections, I have people I keep in touch with who have since graduated, and people who will graduate after me, and I feel like I've formed some really strong bonds there."

Basketball-wise, Kusch is just as pleased with his experience. "I haven't been on any other team in Division III but I think we have the best coaching staff in America," he said.
