Bunce picks up D3football.com Team of the Week honor
CLAREMONT, Calif. – Victor Bunce (CMC) of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps returned two punts for a combined 98 yards, both for touchdowns, on Saturday's 45-13 rout of Whittier. These statistics earned him a spot on D3football.com's Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware.
The junior returned a punt 40 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter to give CMS a 24-3 lead and then outdid himself with a 58-yard punt return for a TD in the fourth quarter of a 45-13 win.
This is the first Team of the Week accolade for the Stags this season, and for Bunce in his career.
The Stags (3-0, 1-0 SCIAC) travel to Occidental (0-3, 0-1 SCIAC) on Oct. 8 to play a night game against the Tigers at 7 p.m.
