Delaney is from Portland, Oregon where she grew up in a family that had great enthusiasm for sports. Delaney started out playing soccer from a young age and Delaney's brother Eamonn currently plays soccer at Pacific University. It was her dad who influenced Delaney to give track a try, and it has been her favorite outlet to test and challenge herself ever since. Delaney is thrilled to be attending Scripps College and is looking forward to the Southern California sun. Getting lost on runs (even on familiar routes!) is one of Delaney's greatest struggles, but she is excited to run in new places this year, and inevitably loose her way at some point. Delaney comes in with personal bests of 4:49 in the 1500m and 10:31 in the 3000m.
