Bio

Angela Kulikov enters her third season as an assistant coach with the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's tennis team in 2023-24, after contributing to two NCAA Division III national championships in her first two campigns with the Athenas. 

Kulikov joined the Athenas after recently completing her five-year collegiate tennis career at the University of Southern California. During her time, the three-year captain led her team to a high of No. 11 in the team rankings and boasted individual career high rankings of No. 1 in doubles and No. 15 in singles. Kulikov won the doubles title at the 2017 Battle in the Bay Classic with partner Rebecca Weissmann and the singles title at the 2019 Milwaukee Tennis Classic. She was also a singles finalist at the 2020 Oracle ITA Masters.

In 2019, Kulikov and her partner Rianna Valdes reached the Final Four of the NCAA Division I Doubles Championships and achieved All-American status. The same year the duo also won their first professional doubles event at the Thoreau Tennis Open in Concord, Massachusetts.

Kulikov’s collegiate playing awards include All-Pac-12 honors, the ITA Most Improved Senior Award, and the Arthur Ashe Jr. Leadership and Sportsmanship Award.

Kulikov graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in cognitive science in 2020 and a master’s degree in applied psychology in 2021.
