Gabby Lee Earns SCIAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week Honor

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Gabby Lee earned the SCIAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week award for matches through Sunday, April 3, the league office announced today.

Lee was 4-0 on the weekend as CMS picked up a pair of SCIAC wins over Caltech and Cal Lutheran. She earned a 6-1, 6-0 win over Caltech and a 6-0, 6-2 win over Cal Lutheran in singles as she was nearly perfect in the two matches, while also combining for a pair of wins at No. 1 doubles with Sydney Lee (8-5 over Caltech, 8-4 over CLU). 

Lee becomes the fourth different Athena to captured the SCIAC weekly honor this season, joining Crystal Juan, Sydney Lee and Nikolina Batoshvili. She has the most doubles wins on the team, standing at 19-8, including reaching the ITA Cup Nationals with Juan in the fall. 

CMS will be back in action on Friday when it hosts a pair of home matches on Friday, facing San Diego Christian in the morning and Whittier in another conference match in the afternoon.
