Anastasia Bryan-Ajania Profiled by TennisRecruiting.net for COVID-19 Relief Efforts

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's tennis player Anastasia Bryan-Ajania (Scripps '20) was profiled by the website TennisRecruiting.net for her efforts in helping to round up medical supplies for COVID-19 relief efforts.

Bryan-Ajania reached out all seven schools of the Claremont Consortium, asking them to gather personal protective equipment to donate to medical facilities in the Pomona and Claremont area. Her efforts initiated donations of gloves, lab coats, masks and disinfectant wipes.

"They always say anything helps or you can make an impact with one call, and in this situation I really believe we can," Bryan-Ajania told TennisRecruiting.net. "We have to do everything that is within our power to try and help the facilities that are experiencing shortages."

Bryan-Ajania is hoping to inspire other college athletic departments around the country to follow similar procedures, emailing NCAA officials and athletic directors and encouraging other student-athletes to do the same.

Bryan-Ajania, who will graduate from Scripps in May with a degree in economics, was part of a six-member senior class that was striving to win its second national championship in their careers. The Athenas captured the 2018 crown before finishing as runners-up last year, and were undefeated and ranked No. 1 in the country when the season was suspended in March.
