Emma Ng Pack Wins Three-Meter Title at NCAA Regional Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. - Emma Ng Pack of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's swimming and diving team finished in first-place in the three-meter dive at the NCAA Division III Region 2 Diving Championships on Friday afternoon at Emory University.

By finishing first, Ng Pack secures a spot at the NCAA Division III Championships in Greensboro, N.C. next month, where she will join the 10 Athena swimmers who qualified on Wednesday.

Ng Pack finished with 452.25 points to earn her title, a relatively comfortable margin of over 10 points over Ariana Khan of Emory (441.65). Third place was 407.45 by Tess Klugherz of Emory, while Izzy Doud of CMS finished a close fourth with 405.45.

Doud qualified for nationals a year ago, and will have another chance to earn her ticket for a return visit tomorrow in the one-meter. Makenna Parkinson also earned a top-10 finish in the three-meter (ninth) with 363.65 points, and will be in the one-meter tomorrow, along with Alexis Romero.

CMS finished 11th at nationals last year, and will be trying for a top-10 this season, with at least 11 participants traveling to North Carolina.
