Doud Finishes Third in Women's Three-Meter at SCIAC Championships

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Izzy Doud earned All-SCIAC honors with a third-place finish in the women's three-meter dive at the 2022 SCIAC Diving Championships on Saturday afternoon at Cal Lutheran.

Doud earned 437.95 points to finish third in a very tight four-diver battle for the individual championship. Ruby Epstien of Pomona-Pitzer was able to edge out the field with 445.80 points, while Sydney Patterson of Redlands was second with 441.90 points. Doud came in third with 437.95 points, less than eight points out of first, while Eleanor Mackey of Pomona-Pitzer was also in the four-diver cluster at the top, finishing with 427.30 points to come in fourth. 

Makenna Parkinson (sixth) and Alexis Romero (eighth) also qualified for the finals and earned points for the Athenas on the first day of the SCIAC Championships. Parkinson finished with 371.95 points, while Romero had 322.65. 

The second day of the SCIAC Diving Championships will take place tomorrow at Cal Lutheran with the women's one-meter, while the swimming portion of the SCIAC Championships will take place from Wednesday-Saturday at La Mirada.
