Kelly Prawira Captures SCIAC Women's Swimmer of the Week Accolades

CLAREMONT, Calif. - After winning both of her individual events and contributing to a relay win, Kelly Prawira earned the SCIAC Women's Swimmer of the Week Award for events through Sunday, Jan. 16, the league office announced today.

Prawira helped CMS to a home victory over Redlands on Saturday in its final home dual of the season. She won back-to-back events for the Athenas, taking the 500 free in 5:23.57, and then jumping back in after a 10-minute intermission to win the 200 breast in 2:23.77 by almost an eight-second margin. She also contributed to a win in the 400-yard medley relay as well, swimming the breaststroke leg.

Prawira's honor was the fifth of the season for the Athenas, including three SCIAC Diver of the Week honors for Emma Ng Pack, who won both diving events this weekend as well. Augusta Lewis also captured the SCIAC Swimmer of the Week honor last weekend for the Athenas.

CMS will be back in action on Jan. 29 when it travels to a tri-meet at La Verne, facing Cal Lutheran and the host Leopards at 10 a.m. at Las Flores Park.
