Rosenberger Wins a Pair in Rout of Blues on Wednesday

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Senior Lauren Rosenberger (CMC) won the 200 Fly and 400 IM as the No. 17 Athenas defeated the Whitman Blues 200-61 on Wednesday afternoon. Despite the Athenas winning all 14 women's events in the meet, Rosenberger was the only swimmer to win multiple individual events on the afternoon. The other 10 individual events were won by 10 different Athenas, showing the balance of their roster.

The afternoon started with the Athenas taking the top two spots in the 200 Medley Relay. The team of Ivy Chen (HMC), Claire Bacon-Brenes (SC), Janet Tran (CMC), and Allie Umemoto (SC) won the event in a time of 1:50.46.

Just like Tran, Hoffman added a first-place victory to her runner-up finish. Hoffman's win came in the 50 Free when she won the event but .01 over Whitman's Zoe Hill witha time of 25.28. Hill finished in 25.19 for one of just four second-place finishes for the Blues on the day.
