Bio

Allison Moranchel is entering her first season as an assistant coach with the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team during the 2021-22 academic year. 

Moranchel comes to Claremont with 13 years of experience coaching in softball, most recently as the head coach at Temple City High School, a position she has held since 2017, after previously serving as a volunteer assistant with the program from 2014-17. While serving as the head coach, she also served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Ohana Tigers travel team.

In her most recent season with Temple City, Moranchel guided her team to a Rio Hondo League Championship with an undefeated conference record. Temple City was ranked No. 12 in the CIF Southern Section Division 4 in 2021, and qualified for the CIF-SS playoffs on three different occasions.  

Previously, Moranchel also head positions as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator with the Nemesis Elite Travel Team from 2013-16, and as a head coach for two seasons with the Oak Avenue Intermediate School team.

Mornachel also knows the SCIAC well, after attending the University of La Verne, where she earned her bachelor's degree in 2008 in health administration and her master's degree in 2013 in business administration.

She is married to Henry Moranchel, who will also be joining the CMS softball staff as an assistant coach in 2021-22.
