CLAREMONT, Calif. - A total of 12 members of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team earned Easton All-America Scholar-Athlete honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, the organization announced today.
The award is presented to student-athletes who earned a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for the 2022-23 academic year.
All five members of the CMS senior class represented the Athenas on the list: Alexis Gero, Kristin LeBlanc, Ari Livi, Heather Shipley and Maren Summers. Juniors Ellie Novogradac and Emily Nutting, sophomores Madison Gonzalez, Abby Thompson and Paige Zimmerman, and first-years Rachel Sapirstein and Jacqueline Solomon were also selected.
Livi added the NFCA award to the SCIAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor she received earlier this summer as well.
