Ari Livi Earns SCIAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Honor

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Senior catcher Ari Livi was one of 18 student-athletes selected for the 2022-23 SCIAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award, the conference office announced this week.

The Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor is presented to a recipient from one men's sport and one women's sport from each of the nine SCIAC institutions, based on their combination of academic excellence and athletic accomplishment.

Livi graduated with a 3.94 grade point average from Claremont McKenna as a neuroscience major. She was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete and has been a member of the SCIAC All-Academic Team every season.

On the field, Livi was one of the senior leaders for a CMS softball team that shared the regular season conference title this year and was the top seed in the league tournament. She batted .288 this season and was chosen to the All-Tournament Team at the 2022 NFCA Leadoff Classic.

Livi was joined on the Scholar-Athlete of the Year list from CMS by senior men's basketball player Josh Angle. To view a complete list of the recipients, go to the following link:
