Bio

I am a freshman at CMC majoring in Intercollegiate Media Studies, with the goal of becoming a Hollywood filmmaker once I complete an amazing four years at Claremont. So I’m a big movie guy and a fan of all genres, especially horror films such as The Shining and The Exorcist, and as a kid the Harry Potter movies. I was also a big fan of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. (The movies I thought were also decent, with the exception of the fourth film.)

I was born and raised in San Francisco, where the sky is foggy most of the time, hence the name, “Fog City.” But the mild weather is actually perfect for running. I’ve been running since 6th grade, and won our city championship in the 1600 and 3200. My high school XC team made it to the CA state championship all four years. However, I have to say the SF Section isn’t super competitive, so I’m really looking forward to becoming part of an elite team like the Stags. My 1600, 3200, and 5k PR’s are 4:27, 9:31, and 15:55, respectively. Besides running, I like playing baseball and ice hockey. My parents are from Philadelphia, so I’ve become a die-hard Philly sports fan. My favorite video games are the Just Cause series and Smash.

I really wasn’t expecting to go to CMC, but was so impressed with the campus, the people, and the athletics when I visited, that I just had to come here. I look forward to exploring the vast regions of Southern California, racing longer distances, and enjoying the sunshine.
