Hayden Beauchemin Moves Into Third Place in CMS History in 1500 Meters

AZUSA, Calif. - Hayden Beauchemin ran a 3:47.80 to move into third place in CMS history in the 1500 meters at the Franson Last Chance Meet at Azusa Pacific this weekend.

His time also moved him into 20th place in NCAA Division III this season, putting him under the cutline for NCAA qualification with just three days left in the qualifying peroid. Beauchemin places 10th currently in the steeplechase as well, which would give him the option of which event to compete in.

Mason Ratkovich ran the mile at the Franson Meet, with his 1500-meter split of 3:46.78 putting him 14th in the nation as well, putting him in position to qualify. Ellis DelVecchio ran in the 800 meters, and didn't surpass his 1:50.26 from the Occidental Invitational, but that time still places him in 16th, ahead of the top-22 cutline. Colin Scanlon also competed, and didn't improve on his CMS-record time of 52.57, which places him eighth nationally.

Kaden Cassidy moved into the top 10 in CMS history in the hammer throw with a 177'11", placing him tenth on the CMS list, and cracking the top 50 nationally (49th). Three Stags also competed at Cal State Los Angeles on Sunday, with John Horan setting a season-high in the pole vault.

Several CMS athletes will travel to the Redlands Last Chance meet on Wednesday before NCAA Division III qualifcations are announced for the national meet May 23-25 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
