2017 Claremont Classic

(UPDATE) - Due to issues with the timing system, the 2017 edition of the Claremont Classic will be cancelled

This year's Claremont Classic will only have multi-event competitions (Men’s Decathlon, Women’s Heptathlon).  This event is traditionally a small, intimate competition with a range of athletes competing under ideal conditions.  The competitions will take place on May 4th-5th.  The decathlon will start at 12:15 on Thursday and 2:00 on Friday.  The heptathlon will start at 12:00 on Thursday and 3:00 on Friday.

TFRRS ID (college entrants only), multi-event best and expected times for the lane races (Dec: 100-400-110H; Hep: 110H-200).  Entries are $40 per person.  Make checks payable to CMS Track. 
ENTRIES ARE POSTED HERE

 

FACILITIES: 9 Lane Martin Polyurethene Track - ¼" cone spikes requested.  HJ - PV - LJ - TJ - JT runways are Polyurethene - 3/8" spikes for the High Jump & Javelin.  SP - DT - HT - Brushed Concrete.

 

TIMING: FinishLynx Camera.  Results shown on scoreboard and posted on bulletin board by press box.

 

WEIGH-INS: Implements will be weighed under the stands on the south side of the track from 11:00-11:45 on Thursday and 1:00-1:45 on Friday.  Thursday's weigh-in will be for the shots only, but athletes may leave their discs and javelins in the weigh-in area overnight.

 

TRAINER: Training Room and Trainer will be available.  Please bring your own training kit.

 

PARKING: Please park in the Bisantz parking across 6th street south of the stadium .

 

ENTERING THE FACILITY: With the construction of Roberts Pavilion you may enter through the gate on the west side of the stadium, or through the east gate which is located 75 meters west of intersection of Claremont Blvd. and 6th Street.
