On Court: All-court player who joined CMS after an impressive high school and junior career...was 2006 MVP for his Bellarmine Prep team that was Northern California HS Team Finalists...ranked between #3 and #8 in B18s in NorCal and represented NorCal in Junior Davis Cup, where he played #1 doubles and #5 singles... as a freshman made his debut at the ITA West Regionals in September where he won two rounds in singles and reached the semifinals of the doubles with partner Eric MacColl...battled injuries in the spring but still started twelve dual matches at singles positions 3-6...went 10-5 overall in singles, and 17-7 in doubles with MacColl, Lim, and Starr...played a key role at #3 doubles in NCAA team championships, winning two of three matches with Starr...as a sophomore went 2-2 at the ITA West Regionals in singles, and reached the second round of the doubles...played #6 singles and #2 doubles (with Erani) in the spring...13-5 overall and 11-2 in dual matches in singles, with time at #6, #5, #4 and twice at #1...won clinching matches against Villanova and UC Davis...went 23-9 in doubles to give him highest total match wins in doubles on the team...earned 2nd  Team All-SCIAC honors...finished 8th in west in doubles with Erani...as a junior went 3-2 in singles, and 4-1 in doubles (with Erani) in the fall ITA West Regionals...reached the ITA West Regional doubles final for the first time...played in eleven (11) dual matches in the spring, going 7-4 at the #3 through #6 positions...also played in the Ojai Valley Tournament where he lost in the Round of 32...went 10-8 overall in singles...played doubles for the second straight season with Erani, starting the spring at #2 and then moving to #1 for good on March 26...the pair reached the final of the Ojai Valley Tournament, losing to teammates Eric MacColl and Brandon Wei 6-3, 7-5...biggest wins were against Cal Lutheran's Ballou and Giuffrida (#1 in the West at the time) in the SCIAC Tournament final, and against 5th ranked Stein and Woods of Wash U in the 3rd place team match at NCAAs...narrowly missed qualifying for NCAAs as the #5 ranked team in the West...finished 2010 ranked #17 nationally with Erani and with a 22-11 doubles record (including one win with Wei)...his 62 career doubles wins places him in the top 20 all-time in Stags Tennis history with his senior season still to play...appointed captain of the 2011 Stags Tennis team by Coach Settles...as a senior wasted no time in leading by example in his first tournament as captain of the Satgs, reaching the singles quarters and doubles final (with Erani) at the ITA West Regionals, the best result at the ITAs in his career...earned fall national rankings of #47 in singles and #10 in doubles, and West Region rankings of #13 in singles and #3 in doubles...started spring season at #5 singles and #1 doubles (with Erani)...won first 10 singles dual matches of the spring before first loss on March 26...then went on to win next 11 matches before losing in the 3rd round of Ojai...finished 2011 with a mind-boggling 21-3 record in singles dual matches, and was 26-5 overall, best on the team and 7th best single season record in Stags Tennis history...teamed up with Erani, Liu, and ultimately Pereverzin (all at #1) to go 24-12 in doubles...began playing with Pereverzin at Pacific Coast Doubles Tournament in early March...the pair went 14-7 and qualified for the NCAA doubles tourney as the 3rd team from the West...unseeded, they won three matches before losing 6-4, 6-4 to Bowdoin's Pena and Sullivan in the NCAA final, finishing with a #2 national team ranking...Wu earned 2nd Team All-SCIAC honors for the second time in his career, while earning ITA All-American honors in doubles for the first time...was voted as 2011 Most Valuable Player by his teammates... concludes his Stags Tennis career with a singles record of 59-23 and a career winning percentage of .720, good for 17th best in program history...his career doubles record of 86-39 puts him at 4th and 5th best all-time as an individual in matches played and matches won...also places in the top 10 Stags doubles teams of all-time with Erani in matches played (sixth - 62), matches won (sixth - 42), and winning percentage (tenth - .677)
