LeDuff (Santa Cruz), Parodi kept a clean slate for the remainder of the regular season and then defended his singles and doubles titles at the Ojai, a first in CMS Stags Tennis program history...was at his very best during NCAA team tournament, when in three matches he yielded a total of 16 games in wins against Santa Cruz (avenging the earlier loss to LeDuff), Trinity, and Chicago...added three more victories in the NCAA singles tournament before bowing out to eventual champion Urken 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in the semis...finished as No. 1 D3 singles player in the West and No. 2 Nationally...with Gordy in doubles he was equally impressive, as the duo held down the top spot in the West for most of the spring...despite an unexpected first round loss at NCAAs to Bates' No. 1 team, Parodi and matches won (105), and 8th in career winning percentage (.802)...he is only one of five Stags to have one over 100 career singles matches, and one of eight to have won 80 percent of career singles matches...somewhat overlooked at how great a doubles player he was, Parodi partnered five different players (Hull, Berber, Morkovine, Gordy, and Freer) to next level success...his 86 career doubles wins are good for 11th best in CMS history, and include three Ojai titles (one with Morkovine, two with Gordy), one ITA West Regional title (with Berber), and four ITA All-American doubles honors, making Parodi only the third Stag ever to earn ITA All-American honors in singles and doubles all four years...his combined singles and doubles career records of 191-64 places him 7th in matches played and matches won, and ninth in winning percentage at .749...the Stag captain will be remembered for his ability to raise his level in every big match he played for CMS (having gone 12-1 in NCAA Championship dual singles matches in his career), as well as avenging nearly every one of the few losses he had at the D3 level.
