On Court: Member of Mercer Island HS team where he played #2 singles as a freshman and sophomore and #1 singles junior and senior year...captained team his senior year...led team to two state championships in four years...was finalist in state doubles tournament...represented the Pacific Northwest section twice in Boys 16 Zonals, once in Waco, TX, once in Salt Lake City, UT...consistently ranked in the singles top 10 of the USTA PNW section...as a freshman made debut for Stags as one of two freshmen from the Pacific Northwest...played ITA West Regional doubles with Ernie Hayhurst, winning two of three matches...appeared in two dual matches at #3 and #5 singles, losing only one game in four sets...partnered Hayhurst at #2 doubles to earn lone dusl match win in March...finished first year with a 2-0 record in singles and a 3-1 record in doubles...as a sophomore had good fall season, playing ITA West Regionals and going 3-2 in singles (with wins over starters from Cal Lutheran, Redlands, and UC Santa Cruz), while going 0-1 in doubles (with Johnson)...returned in the spring to win seven of eight dual match opportunities playing #4 through #6 singles...won against Westmont, Brandeis, Lafayette, Lewis & Clark, and Pacific Lutheran at home...went 2-1 in spring doubles duals (with Chien and Hayhurst), playing at #2 and #3...finished with overall records of 10-3 in singles and 2-2 in doubles...as a junior opted not to play for the Stags so that he could focus on his academic work and seek a summer internship...as a senior returned to action at the USTA / ITA West Regionals where he went 1-2 in singles and 0-1 in doubles with partner Alex Johnson...went 3-0 in dual matches in the spring playing at the #5 and #6 singles positions...lost a total of three games in four matches...also 3-0 in doubles duals, partnering fellow seniors Cahill twice and Johnson once...finished season with a 4-2 mark in singles and a 3-1 record in doubles, giving him career totals of 16-5 (.762) in singles and 8-4 (.667) in doubles.

Personal: Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for attaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher during all three years as a member of Stags Tennis...co-president of Green Dorm as a junior with teammate Mac Cahill...awarded Most Outstnding Junior in Accounting in spring of 2012... worked at Financial Economics Institute and Robert Day School on campus... led CMC Wilderness Orientation Adventure (WOA) as a junior.
